Dear Friends,
I am feeling a little uncomfortable with the postings from Damla, not because of content, but because it seems pretty clear to me that mental illness is not her primary problem, although the fear related to craziness is a part of the problem she is having to address. I don’t want to explicitly state that, or misguide her in any way, as she will probably figure out for herself what is true and what is not, at some point. My gut feeling is that she is having a spiritual crisis (mimicing mental illness), and if this is true, and if she fits the ordinary pattern, she’ll have some psychological housecleaning to do that may require some medications/psyciatric support.
She quickly went to the Spiritual Emergency site that I mentioned to her, which I felt a little uncomfortable about publicly directing her to, and she already seems at home there, and is interacting with others, who have had crisis level Kundalini experiences, in a positive and open way. This seems to support my suspicions that she is opening to Kundalini, as a person who is truly mentally ill would probably not have followed up on that information, or would have been unable to connect with other experiencers once there.
Ross mentioned to me once before (with Ophelia) that I might not be seeing clearly the mental health/spiritual questing that was coming through in her posts. In Ophelia’s case, I defintely had the feeling that mental health issues were primary, and that spiritual searching was a secondary component…From my vantage point, this is probably true for Dimitar as well.
I think what I am asking for is feedback, as I undertand that we Helpers are collectively a wise group of human beings, who see wider and more clearly together, than we are able to alone. Also, depending on how long Damla continues to interact on this site, I would prefer not to be the only one interacting with her, as it seems that shared responsiveness is best for her, and best for me.
May I have your thoughts, please?
In light and love,
Willie

I can sympathize with you Willie being the only other helper making comments so far on this topic. For me I’m in a space where I’m more focused & I’m not as willing to answer every nuance & tangent she & others go on. Kat is good with that. I focus on what is the real issue behind what is being said.
There are times that I will go over every nuance with a fine tooth comb. With Damla I too am cautious, but like all my comments I do my honest best. We guide, support people, we don’t have to be their savior. Do your best & forget the rest.
Also, if you feel too uncomfortable, take a step back & do what you are doing, asking for support of other helpers on this thread.
People with mental illness are very attracted to CwG material. That’s why I put out that we are lay people here even though they have to read the disclaimer to even get in.
You can always direct them back to the book. If they refuse to look or explore it, that’s okay, but we can let them gently & loving know we are a site based on this book & they may have to go else where if they are not interested in exploring from that perspective.
Magically,
-Marko
I skimmed the Damla thread today…I have been taking a much needed break from everything for the last two days and following my body’s instructions to simply rest and sleep….Today, I was tempted to respond but I know I have a gathering at my house at 2 this afternoon about “A New Conversation”, attempting to get “real world” involvement with those I know, and I knew that given the time constraints and the things I have to do to prepare for this gathering, I could not give a proper answer. I will, however, be addressing it later today or tomorrow.
In my cursory reading, I felt that what she had experienced was a sort of “out of body experience” that she didn’t know how to cope with…and still doesn’t know how to cope with…but I will more closely read the things she has written as well as your responses.
Love and Light,
Namaste!

I think you are wise to walk a measured path with this poster. Since I’ve been away I haven’t tuned in until this weekend when I have been assigned time. I will watch for a post from her. I love your deeply thought out responses and the special gifts you have as a helper.
Blessings,
Ross

Marko, Shelly, and Ross, thank you!
Your thoughts are helpful and I appreciate your guidance. So happy this site is a shared endeavor, as there is so much more that we are able to offer than if any one of us tried to do this alone. Thank you so much!
It appears that Damla is being more active on the Spiritual Emergency site right now, so she may be tapering off on the CCN site. She speaks Turkish, I think, (as she is from a small country near Turkey), and expressing slight differences or nuances is difficult for her (in English), but I think she is connecting pretty well with others there even with language challenges.
Sending love,
Willie
I attempted to address Damla today. We shall see how ready she is to take a step.
Ross
I addressed some of the comments Damla made but I feel as if I were essentially “blown off”, which is fine…sometimes things just don’t click or someone isn’t ready to hear what is being said…
Love and Light,
Namaste!

Hi Shelly and Ross,
I feel better because both of you stepped in and offered a wider perspective. So, you have helped me and I thank you.
Damla seems to be spending time on the Spiritual Emergency site and this one, and I have been seeing a little bit of where she is and I think she might be trying hard to emotionally let all of this settle. It sounds like she hasn’t really had much chance to consider what happened as anything except mental illness, even with the one “Reiki” friend who has apparently encouraged her to consider it differently.
If she needs us, we are all here.
Thanks to both of you.
Willie
